The purpose of PumpRing is to allow astronauts who are in the International Space Station, far from their families, to feel the holiday atmosphere of Halloween. PumpRing simulates a peephole of a door, through which astronauts will see their own children doing trick or treating.
And because the product can be manufactured by a 3D printer, the astronauts themselves can print the product on the International Space Station.
